Matthias Gelber

Matthias Gelber is an international ESG and Sustainability expert who is director and Co Founder at ESG Innovation Hub Singapore and he was voted Greenest Person on the Planet in 2008.

His first visit to the UAE was in 1999 when he delivered a one week ISO 14001 Environmental Management System training course for Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and subsequently chaired the UAE CSR summit between 2004 and 2008.  He has supported many private and public organisations in the Sustainability Journey and has won various awards for his inspirational keynote speeches.

In 2022 he completed a two-and-a-half-year assignment as ESG advisor at the Philippines Stock Exchange and now he is the Net Zero Ambassador of DesertBoard in the UAE. Matthias holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Science from Brunel University, UK from 1994, has given talks in 42 countries internationally and five times at TEDx events.
