Shariq Ahmad is an associate director at Emrill and leads the organisation’s specialist energy efficiency and management division, Emrill Energy. With over 21 years of Middle East experience working with industry leaders and government bodies, including Dubai Properties, PIF and Emaar, Shariq has vast expertise in asset, community and facilities management and provides energy-focused solutions to optimise operations, enhance client satisfaction, and drive sustainable growth.

Shariq spearheads Emrill Energy’s total energy management and engineering solutions, employing cutting-edge technologies to deliver efficiency savings and comprehensive turnkey energy solutions for clients. He leads the organisation’s optimisation and sustainability programmes and proficiently manages departmental and client budgets, prioritising profit and loss management. His expertise spans energy modelling, commissioning, and retro-commissioning, as well as the development and implementation of integral energy-efficiency-focused playbooks and policies. Shariq oversees Emrill Energy’s CAFM and command centre processes, elevating energy and asset efficiencies, and advocates for energy, water, and waste reductions, supported by thorough analysis and ROI assessments for new and existing projects.

Shariq excels in strategic planning, budgeting, and developing and executing efficiency management and energy conservation strategies that maximise operational effectiveness and align seamlessly with organisational objectives, ensuring a balance between resource optimisation and environmental sustainability within the built environment.

Shariq is a multifaceted professional with a postgraduate degree in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, a bachelor’s in Business Administration, and a diploma in Computer Engineering. He holds prestigious certifications, including PCAM, CMCA, and AMS, underscoring his proficiency in community association management.
